Ok so I was talking to a friend (we'll call him Mark) about a mutual friend (we'll call him Nate) of ours. Mark was telling me that Nate has so many requirements to even consider dating someone, so me being me I asked what are the requirements? Mark says the guy has to have a job, a car, his own place , and some good money. I laughed my ass off and asked how and the hell is he asking for all the things that he's NOT bringing to the table? Mark laughed and said it works sometimes though until the guy gets tired of taking care of Nate.
I truly don't understand this concept, how can someone that doesn't have their own shit together make demands on a person that does? I had to blog about it and ask two questions.
1. If you didn't have the basic things that a 30 year old man / woman should have (a job, some money, their own place), would you set the bar so high for a potential mate or would you come humble?
2. If you were financially stable, had a job, a car, and your own place would you take care of someone that had none of those things?
I answered NO to both.
Thoughts?!

My thing is people need to be able to take care of themselves 1st. Like I heard on the radio the other day... a man or a woman should not be a ur financial plan.
